Resin Driveways in Wells
Modern, hard-wearing resin driveways for Wells—clean finishes, tidy detailing, clear costs.
Resin-bound surfacing gives Wells homes a smooth, modern driveway that stays smart without the scatter of loose gravel. We design the right base build-up, sharp edging and effective drainage so your drive performs as well as it looks. Replacing tired tarmac, upgrading block paving or overlaying sound concrete, we’ll specify the best method for everyday parking and the odd heavier load.
Resin Driveways
A resin-bound driveway blends graded natural stone with high-quality resin to create a seamless, long-lasting surface. Laid over a correctly prepared base, it’s tough, low-maintenance and available in finishes from warm golds to cool contemporary greys. In Wells, we manage the whole job in-house—from survey and groundworks to edgings, neat detailing around drains and manholes, and a hand-trowelled finish for a clean, even result.

Why Choose Us
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What affects the price and how do you quote?
A: Cost depends on area, base condition, edging type, access and any drainage work. We provide a free site survey and a clear, itemised quote so you can see exactly what’s included.
Q: Will the colour change over time?
A: We use outdoor-grade resins and quality aggregates that keep their look for years. As with any surface, very pale mixes can show marks sooner; regular light cleaning helps. We’ll show samples and advise on shades that best suit your site.
Q: How do you deal with drains and inspection covers?
A: We set levels and falls first, then cut in to gullies or channel drains and re-seat manhole covers with recessed lids. All detailing is hand-trowelled tight for a neat, flush finish.
Q: What base and thickness do you install?
A: We specify the base to suit the site: typically a compacted Type-3 sub-base with a bituminous binder course, then a 15–20 mm resin-bound layer. On sound concrete or asphalt we can lay at the same 15–20 mm after prep and priming.
Q: Do I need planning permission for a resin driveway in Wells?
A: Normally no—provided the driveway is built to allow water to drain into the ground within your property (not onto the highway). Listed buildings, conservation areas or schemes that connect to surface drains may need approval. We’ll advise on the visit.
